What is CMM?
Learn the platform step by step
Community participation, explained simply.
CMM is designed to organize member contributions, positions, group activities, community support and transparent progress in one digital platform.
1. What is CMM?
Start here. This video should explain the purpose of CMM, the difference between a contribution, a share/position, a payout, and a community Help Fund contribution.
2. How CMM works
Select a group whose rules, contribution amount and schedule you understand.
Your selected share count determines your contribution according to that group's rules.
Record each required contribution through the platform's wallet/account flow.
See your position, contributions, estimated progress and relevant group activity.
When the applicable group rules and available funds allow the scheduled payout, the position is processed.
4. Payout & Progress
Members should be able to see how their position is progressing toward its applicable target and the scheduled payout information. A progress display should never be presented as a guarantee when the underlying funds are not guaranteed.
5. Position Transfer & Early Payout
A member can offer eligible rights/position according to the group's transfer rules. Terms must be displayed before confirmation.
An eligible member may receive an early payout offer where the program allows it. Any fee must be shown clearly before acceptance.
Both sides should receive a clear transaction record and the affected position schedule should update.
6. Help Fund
The Help Fund is separate from share rotations. Members can contribute from $2 toward verified community needs such as rental assistance, funeral support, emergency help and other approved community requests.
7. Business Groups
Business groups can organize members around a shared business objective. The group should display its minimum participation, business plan, capital use, reporting, risks and applicable distribution rules before members participate.
8. Wallet & Records
The wallet interface can organize balances and transaction records. The platform should clearly distinguish an internal displayed balance from actual funds held with a regulated payment provider or financial institution.
9. Transparency
Members can review group totals, recorded contributions, upcoming obligations, activity history and other information the program makes available.
